Shahen Customs Port siezed 52 Kornet Missilles

The Yemeni customs authorities, at the Shahn border port located on the border of the Sultanate of Oman, have seized  52 Kornet missiles, which were going to  Houthi militia.
Salem Aqeel, General Manager of Shahed Customs Port, confirmed that: The customs authorities carried out a qualitative operation after suspicious containers of electric generators , Customs officers discovered 52 missiles that were hidden inside four  generators boxes after had been removed and shipped in their place.
He pointed out that the operation was carried out very professionally, the missiles were hidden instead of  the generator machine box  , but the vigilance of customs officials revealed the plan.
Aqeel considered that this seizure is the most important operation carried out by customs officiers at Shahen Port the recent period and comes within a deliberate effort and an organized vision for Customs port in particular and for Yemen Customs Authority in general to protect national security from gangs smuggling weapons and harming the security of the homeland and citizens.
This operation is considered the largest seizure of a qualitative weapon seized by customs, as a series of shipments of ammunition and military supplies were previously seized.
