Yemen Chairs The 42th Meeting of Directors General of Arab Customs
Represented by YCA chairman, Yemen headed The activities of the 42th meeting of directors general meetings of Arab Countries from 23th to 24th march 2022, the meeting was held in Arab league in Cairo.
The meeting was chaired by YCA chairman Mr. Abdul Hakim Al-Qubati, who confirmed the needs of Arab customs to develop customs work capacities for enhancing the trade relations and coordinating all efforts during this global crise that influence trade movement among countries.
Estimating the efforts of the General Secretariat of Arab league in well preparing concerning the 42th meeting, noting in making recommendations to achieve the economic integration of Arab countries.
At the beginning of the meeting, the chairman of the Egyptian Customs Authority, Dr.El-Shahat Ghaturi, welcomed the attendees, expressing his happiness to participate in the meeting, stressing the importance of the meetings in improving the performance of customs authorities in Arab countries and supporting Arab customs cooperation, which will reflect positively on facilitating the flow of trade among Arab countries.
The agenda of the meeting, which was made by the Director of the Department of Economic Integration at Arab league, Dr. Bahjat Abul-Nasr, included discussion and follow-up on the implementation of a number of customs issues, including the agreement on Arab customs cooperation and the amended agreement on regulating transit among Arab countries, following up on the work of the customs procedures and information committee, as well as following up on the work of The Harmonization Committee for HS Translations.
The meeting was attended by Abdul Hakim Amer, Director General of Aden Customs Office, Omar Baeis, Director General of Hadramout Customs Office, Walid Abdul Aziz, Economic Adviser at the delegation, and Counselor Anwar Zemam, official of the Customs Union in the League of Arab States.
