YCA Chairman confirms that customs revenues has exceeded 500 billion YR
Yemen Customs Authority (YCA) Chairman-Mr. Abdul Hakim Al-Qubati- confirmed that the total revenues obtained by YCA during the year 2021 amounted to (571,243,095,039) five hundred and seventy-one billion and two hundred and forty-three million and ninety-five thousand and thirty-nine Yemeni riyals, an increase of 99.65% over the year 2020.
YCA chairman explained that this significant increase in customs revenues is due to the great efforts made by customs officials in the headquarter and in all customs offices and ports during 2020, with the support and direct guidance of His Excellency the Minister of Finance Salem Saleh bin Brik, and a practical translation of the directives of the political leadership represented by His Excellency President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi and the Prime Minister Dr. Moeen Abdul Malik Saeed.
Al-Qubati praised the government’s measures that helped raise revenues and streamline their supply to the Central Bank.
