YCA and UNODC hold joint coordination meeting
Within the framework of joint cooperation and coordination YCA AND UNODC, a joint meeting was held on 16/3/2022, at YCA headquarter in Aden. The meeting discussed many issues of common interest, including the technical support project provided by the United Nations office to government agencies operating in the port of Aden, including to YCA, which will lead to enhancing maritime security in the port, improving performance, which will eventually attract shipping lines to the port, reduce freight insurance and develop the port.
The representatives of the program presented a brief overview of the work they carried out during their field visits to the customs departments operating in the port of Aden in its three sections (Al-Zayt Port - Al-Mualla - Free Zone), they explained the areas in which the program will provide support, as the support will include the infrastructure of devices and equipment for examining containers Goods, development of automated systems and training for customs cadres.
YCA promised ,by direct follow-up from the authority’s chairman, Mr. Abdul Hakim Radman Al-Qubati, to cooperate fully with the program to ensure the success of the project’s work in accordance with the agreed time plan.
The meeting was attended by en. Fadl Mohsen Al-Ban, general manager of Relations and International Cooperation, Mr.Muhammad Hassan Qaradah, general manager of Value, Mr.Abdullah Al-Habashi, general manager of Exemptions and Temporary Admission, Ms.Rabab Faisal, manager of the Secretariat, Mr. Abobakr Al-Sharihi, manager of International Relations, and from the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).
